2026 Theme Dance Schedule: All of our events are inclusive and newcomer friendly.
EVERY 1ST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH - Swing Dancing & Ice Cream Social
1st Sunday of each month, enjoy a selection of ice cream with your evening swing dancing. Our Sunday dances are fun, inclusive, and a safe space to social dance. 7 pm till 9:45 pm Swing Dancing (Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Balboa, Country 2-Step. East Coast Swing).
What better combination then a 55 minute Beginner's & Intermediate Swing Lessons at 6:00 pm (free with your paid admission), followed by great swing dancing AND our ice cream social! We serve up the ice cream at 7:45 pm the first Sunday of every month.
It’s all included with you paid admission. Between 80 - 100 friendly dancers every Sunday night. All welcome, no partner or dance experience necessary. Admission: $10 Students (14-24 yrs.), $12 CDC Members, $15 Public. Location: Elks Lodge, 5538 Lead Mine Rd, Raleigh.
ITALIAN NIGHT is back! - Sunday, March 29th, 2026
Enjoy a night of swing music Italian style. We will be featuring music from the Rat Pack (Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr.) Bobby Darin, Madonna, Joe Bonamassa, Louis Prima, Chris Isaaks, Alicia Keys, Jim Croce, Tony Bennett, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga and more talented Italian-American artist.
WORKSHOPS:
4 pm Beginner Polka & Waltz Workshop. 5:15 pm Shim Sham Shimmy Swing Line Dance Workshop.
Workshop Cost: $5.00 for one or both workshops.
5:45 pm till 7 pm Italian Spaghetti Dinner (free on the house, while the food lasts).
Walk into an Italian cafe setting. We will be doing some fun, dance mixers, plenty of entertaining swing music. You come with an Italian mindset.
6 pm Beginner & Intermediate East Coast Swing Lesson, all welcome, no experience necessary.

CLUB MEMBERS APPRECIATION NIGHT - Sunday, April 19th, 2026
THE EVENING SWING DANCE is FREE TO CURRENT PAID CDC MEMBERS ON THIS NIGHT! - All of our current Carolina Dance Club members get into the evening swing dance at the Elks Lodge for FREE! It's our way of saying thank you for your support. PUBLIC $15, STUDENTS (14-24 yrs) $10.

HOLLYWOOD & T.V THEME NIGHT - SUNDAY, MAY 31st.
It's our Hollywood movies and t.v. shows theme night celebration. Come dressed in your best Hollywood character attire.
We'll set the mood with decorations fit for a Hollywood awards celebration party. Enjoy dance music from your favorite t.v. and movies,
in addition to your regular classic swing dance tunes.
We will be giving out Oscars for the Best Outfit and Best Couple.

20th ANNUAL HAWAIIAN LUAU POT LUCK DINNER & SWING DANCE - Sunday, July 26th, 2026.
We are back with our summer party theme. A Pot Luck Dinner starts the evening off, then it's time for our hula lesson and a beginner & intermediate swing lesson. We've got lots of swing dancing with a mix of luau dance music and, island decorations and some mix drink specials. Come dressed for the islands - be festive and have fun with it. Hawaiian shirt, coconuts, grass skirt, sandals, you got the idea.
We'll be giving out some nice prizes for the best island looks.
5:45 - 7 pm POT LUCK DINNER (bring a main dish, side dish or dessert to share).
5 pm Shim Sham Shimmy Line Dance. 5:30 pm Hula Lesson, 6:00 pm Beginner & Intermediate East Coast Swing Lessons.
7:00 pm till 9:45 pm Swing dancing with Dj's Wesley Boz.

19th ANNUAL HALLOWEEN SWING DANCE PARTY - Sunday, October 25th, 2026.
The BIGGEST THEME DANCE PARTY we host of the year – don’t miss this one. We’ll have amazing decorations, tricks and treats for everyone. We mix lindy, west coast swing, Ballroom, Latin dance music throughout the evening. Join in on our Thriller and Time Warp Line dances.
Participate in our huge Costume Parade & Contest – 4 categories to enter:

Prizes awarded for the winners of each category.
DOORS OPEN at 5:15 pm.

HOLIDAY COUNTRY & SWING DANCE PARTY - December 13th, 2026
It’s the time of the year to say thanks and to help others. Our Annual Holiday Thank You Party is one long afternoon and evening of holiday cheer and dancing. The afternoon begins with Country dancing.
Newcomer friendly, no partner necessary.
Social dancing @ 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm - Country Swing, Two Step, Waltz, Cha Cha.
3 pm Beginner Country Two Step Lesson
5:45 pm till 7 pm POT LUCK DINNER. Bring a dish and share it with friend.
